Dr. Arifa Sobh Khan is a very renowned literary personality as she is known for her manifold entities e.g writer, journalist, poet, critics, humorist, anchorperson, columnist, drama writer, educationalist, feature writer, analyst, debater etc. In the field of literature and journalism, it’s very difficult to find someone with so much personalities.

She is the 1st lady crime reporter, 1st political lady reporter, and first woman humorist of Pakistan.

She is the only woman journalist, scholar, poetess who got 10 Gold Medals in just 3 years and made consecutively hat trick along with 60 Awards & 20 Shields and got Number of Certificates on different forums for her unique literary and human services.

It is remarkable that she is writing since class 4 when written short stories, poems, articles and jokes etc. and so far written more than 3000 news, 1000 columns, 400 articles, 250 interviews, 100 features, 100 reports, 100 children stores, offered comments on 200 books 100 speeches and 100 radio columns etc.

 REGULAR EDUCATION & EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

She is the top holder in M. Phil and in Ph.D. In her thesis in M. Phil was published as a book “Urdu Tanqeed Ka Asli Chahra” which was supporting reference book for the students of M.Phil. and Ph.D. It is remarkable that research work is carried out on her thesis in India, Egypt and Norway as her research work is spread over from the 347 B.C to 2013 A.D. She presented 22 theories in M.Phil and 40 theories in Ph.D. which was a challenge for the world of criticism.

 AS A TEACHER AND EDUCATIONALIST

She has been educating in different colleges and universities in both private and public sector e.g. Punjab University, Baha-ud-Din Zakriya University, University of South Asia, Air Force Fazaia College Lahore Cantt., Government Post Graduate College, Wahdat College, Standard Degree College etc. and also designed syllabus for the students of media studies of Punjab University, Fazaia college and Ghazali Educational Trust, etc.

 AS A SOCIAL ACTIVIST

She has been working for women since 1990, without getting any monetary benefits from any corner or without affiliation with any NGO. From the start of her journalistic career in July 1990 in daily Jang, highlighted on very important women issue and arranged so many forums for inviting attending of different agencies and NGOs for the solutions of these problems.

SOCIAL SUCCESS & ACHIEVEMENTS

From 1997 on the platform of Daily Nawa e Waqat hundreds of thousands women were supported by Dr. Arfia Sobh Khan by providing them justice send women to PM Khuli Katchery, Women Police Stations, Dar ul Amaan and Burnt Wards. So Punjab Govt. including Dr. Arifa Sobh Khan as its member by Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Subsequently lot of affect women got benefit from the recommendations of this committee they were sent to Khuli Kachari for speedy justice, got Registered their FIRs on urgent basis after any crime and then Dr. Arifa Sobh Khan was nominated as Non Official Visitor of Jails in Punjab for ascertaining the issues of suffering women.

She made efforts for provision of free treatment / financial assistance to the needy / affected women and children for the plastic surgery in USA who burnt in 6 different incidents. Also arranged life financial stipend for 5 handicapped children from Bait ul Maal. Written so many stories and on one of his story of a burnt girl published in Nawa-e-Waqt, PM Mian Nawaz Sharif in his previous regime, sanctioned 35 lacs for her foreign treatment. She recommended so many jobless girls for employments in different organizations / sectors who are still enjoying useful live on the basis of these jobs.
